By now everyone should be aware of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, here and abroad. As updates about COVID-19, are made daily, we encourage you to draw upon information and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Among the best practices recommended by the CDC are to thoroughly washing hands and avoid touching your face.
The airlines we are employed by have enacted enhanced cleaning procedures to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus; however, you should continue to take the appropriate steps to minimize your risks when performing duties and tasks in the cabins. Please remain vigilant in utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect you, and take the time to clean tools with alcohol.
I encourage everyone to monitor the CDC website (www.cdc.gov) to educate yourself and watch for updates. Do not buy into headlines and sound bites; investigate the whole story completely through credible sources. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact your Local Safety and Standards Chairman.
